Weather in Egypt

Weather in Egypt is one of several constants, which you can rely on your holiday. Year-round sunshine, low rainfall, temperatures in different months are repeated each year with iron regularity. So if you buy a tour in the month, the statistically average daily temperature 28 degrees, you can be sure that this will be weather and real fact.

When is the best weather in Egypt for a holiday?

On many websites you can find that the summer months not to leave because of too high temperatures and should be better is to travel to Egypt in the spring or autumn. Thus written in terms of nonsense – after all everyone has different ideas and requirements: one who wants to sunbathe all day on the beach by the sea and higher summer temperatures do not mind him, certainly not going to the Red Sea in March, when is temperature more comfortable. Just a stable temperature in different months during the year, contrary to enable all to choose the date of their holiday in Egypt according to your tastes.

Weather in Egypt, of course, given its location – it also causes a slight regional differences in weather of this country, the north is slightly colder and sometimes it rains here, the south is the warmest contrast to large areas where for years fall or drop. But otherwise the weather in Egypt can be characterized as a desert: hot, and most of the year (completely) dry.

Summer months are very hot – daytime temperatures routinely exceed the limit of 40 Wed C in Cairo also resorts on the Red Sea, farther inland in the desert areas and then reach 50 degrees. It is a daily temperature – the previously mentioned character of desert weather causes contrasting large differences in daytime and nighttime temperatures can drop quite close to the freezing point. This concerns the desert areas but unable to accumulate heat, fear not, Cairo, Hurghada or Sharm El Sheikh, you will not be cold at night.

In the hot summer, the Red Sea in the winter in Cairo

With summer in Cairo but caution: the temperatures are the same as here in the South, but lacks a refreshing breeze from the sea and the climate. For sightseeing in Cairo, therefore, actually set off the best from November to March.

On the other hand you off redsea coast higher summer temperatures do not mind – if you will be too hot, jump into the sea to go catch a cold or the air conditioning of your hotel room. Also worth mentioning is sometimes very strong winds, while pushing the same air temperature, it is quite refreshing and, therefore, forgive him and the sand that is blown into your mouth. We have already mentioned the daily temperatures in their forties – the night are a little lower, but without sun, so it is still hot, but subjectively perceive night temperature as tolerable.

In winter (approximately December to February) you definitely do not swimm in the sea. They average daily temperatures in this period ( 22-24  C) do not seem at first glance so bad – but: the wind is blowing stronger and somehow even colder water in the sea temperature is a few notches below – a bit of a reminder of summer at Baltic Sea (although so bad it’s not :-).

Pleasant year-round water temperatures in the Red Sea

Speaking of water temperatures in the sea (probably would be more accurate to speak of the seas, but tourists traveling to the Mediterranean in Egypt is really slow, so the Red Sea to understand), year-round are almost in balance – the value placed 22-26 Wed C speaks for itself, if the hotel is built on man-made lagoons, beaches, water temperature reaches the thirty degrees, so you sweat even when swimming … But no, the water temperatures are excellent.
